Welcome to Hassela Nordic Network´s (HNN) International Centre, which has nowd on the island of Gotland off the Swedish east coast. The new centre is based at Hassela Gotland, which is located in Klintehamn some 30 kilometres south of the island´s world heritage capital Visby.
For 20 years Hassela Gotland has operated as a working community educating young people with social problems. Today, four communities are run in Klintehamn, Vänge, Tors Gård and Staple Backe.
HNN, with its 24-hour Communication Centre, was established in 1993. HNN, which is a network for national and international exchange of drug-related information and anti-drug action, also gives lectures, organises conferences and seminars, and other activities, in order to support a restrictive drug policy.
Hassela Gotland´s broad experience combined with HNN´s international focus on drug-related issues will give Gotland a world class role in the dissemination of knowledge about the effects and consequences of drug use, about prevention, care and treatment.
